December 31, 2014

End. Begin.

What are you doing for New Year’s Eve?”

It is a common refrain today: how will you celebrate the end of the year? What big plans do you have to usher in a new year full of hope and uncertainty and lofty aspirations? What kinds of gusto will you muster for this one night, to mark the passing of time?

Tonight, we are going to make fondue bourguignonne and snuggle on the couch and recall the good times and bad from the year gone by. We will be thankful for all the love and joy 2014 has brought us, and look forward with anticipation to the next one. We will perhaps stay up until midnight, or perhaps we will fall asleep slightly earlier.

Happy New Year, family and friends. See you in the morning.
