Observers have reported a large red spot on Jupiter since the 1660s. But according to a new analysis, the old red spot may have disappeared and the current Great Red Spot formed sometime in the 19th century. (ArsTechnica)
Employees working from home spend an average of 13 hours daily staring at screens, according to a new survey. The survey found total screen time for remote workers eclipses their on-site peers by more than two hours. (theHill)
Eating cheese plays a role in healthy, happy aging. The link between cheese and well-being was an unexpected finding in the study conducted out of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, which found that a higher intake of cheese (and fruit) was one of the standout contributors in those who had high well-being scores. After Roe v Wade was overturned in June 2022, doctors said a wave of young people started asking for permanent birth control like tubal ligations, in which the fallopian tubes are removed, or vasectomies. New research shows that tubal ligations doubled from June 2022 to September 2023, and vasectomies increased over three times during that same time. (KFF Health)
