November:
- Celebrating our ninth wedding anniversary with a day at the spa
- Enjoying the Wildflower Farm Christmas Market
- Taking our annual Christmas photo shoot
- Going to see Something Rotten in Stratford
- Putting up our Christmas lights
- Hosting “branch day” offsite with my team at work
- Celebrating L’s birthday with some axe throwing with friends
- Ringing in the holiday season by seeing some impressive Christmas light displays
- Taking Cleo to the vet for her annual checkup
- Lots of Zoya’s activities
October:
- Participating in school picture day and school meet-the-teacher night
- Doing a few photo shoots to celebrate the fall and prepare for the holidays
- Heading to the pumpkin patch to find some pumpkins to carve for our Jack-o-lanterns
- Enjoying StoryBOO and BOOseum
- Celebrating both my mom and my brother’s birthdays
- Halloween!
- Checking out Crocs After Dark
- Spending time with friends and family over Thanksgiving
- Getting my regular cleaning at the dentist
- Taking Zoya to swim classes and music classes and dance classes and gym classes, and now skating classes too
September:
- First day of school! Zoya starts kindergarten this month
- Heading to a friend’s backyard wedding.
- Enjoying visits from L’s mom and my mom
- Attending my first ever school council meeting
- Taking Zoya to swim classes and music classes and dance classes and gym classes too
- Hanging out in parks with friends and their kids
- Going apple picking
- Spending a last few days in the pool
- Going to see Raffi in concert
- Commemorating Orange Shirt Day
- Celebrating my dad’s birthday and retirement
July:
- Heading to a London Majors baseball game
- Going to see Romeo & Juliet at the Stratford Festival
- Finishing our estate planning and getting our wills officially signed
- Visiting a friend in Port Burwell and spending time at the beach
- Going to afternoon tea at Eldon House
- Attending a cooking class focused on Tuscan food
- Going up to Muskoka to spend some time with family at their cottage
- Planning and hosting Zoya’s fourth birthday party with some of her friends and family
- Taking Zoya to swimming classes and gym classes and baseball practice
- Spending lots of time in the pool
- Hosting friends for pool parties, waffle parties, and just general hangouts
June:
- Heading to a ball game and visiting the aquarium in Toronto
- Buying out the lease from our car
- Going to watch our daughter dance in her first ever dance recital
- Attending a kindergarten open house at our daughter’s new school for next year
- Heading up to a cottage in Grand Bend
- Having friends come visit us from out of town
- Hopefully, spending lots of time swimming in the pool
May:
- Sorting out our wills and doing some estate planning
- Hosting GO-Open Data Conference 2024
- Meeting with my new work team in the office and getting to know some of my new colleagues
- Opening our pool for the season
- Celebrating Mother’s Day
- Heading to Toronto to visit my parents
- Going to the dentist for my regular cleaning
